When the Continental Tire Challenge came to Lime Rock Park this year, I knew I needed to be there. Not because I wanted to shoot the race, but because I wanted to get one shot of a Porsche doing a wheelie on the uphill. Just one.
In years past, the Continental Tire Challenge was a supporting race for ALMS. With the new series structure from IMSA, the Continental Tire Challenge became Lime Rock's main event. The Porsche GT3 cup was added as the supporting race for the weekend, and that meant lots of air time for the lightweight GT3 front ends.
I was shooting the Marist College graduation for the first half of the day (which can be seen HERE), so I only got to spend about an hour shooting at the track. I managed to get the one I was looking for, along with a few others which are posted below.
